Right — have been messing about with this thing for about six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. I’m based in the UK, mainly do football and horses, small stakes, for context.
What got me on it was honestly embarrassing — I could never get my head round what an e/w payout actually came to when the place terms changed. I used to just wing it and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator is the part I’m on daily — you put in your stake, the odds and it shows returns with no faffing, either odds format. There’s also the multiples — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, which is where most people I know lose track. Have a go yourself, it’s over at horse racing accumulator calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
The thing that really changed how I bet is the more serious tools. They’ve got an probability converter that shows what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit when I’m covering two or three runners.
Couple of gripes. Its interface is a bit basic — not much flash, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s usable although the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. And no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me just flagging it.
Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. Anyone who honestly does the maths on paper, have a look — it’s saved me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
